At first, it was fun to catch up on the past so that was OK. In being friends with my DIL, well, I thought I got to know more about her life than I wanted to know. It became a bore to us quickly so we are currently in our 14 day to have our accounts permanently deleted. Gives us more time to work on our crafts, do yard work and walk with the dogs.

I use facebook to log into other sites. Have you seen teenage kids texting while walking riding bikes ect? To ask why its dong so well is to ask why the twilight series does well. Teenage girls.

Thumbs down Too commercialized

It has turned into a corporate advertising site and they use the members as "Tools" to help spread the ads.
Good thing we didn't buy into the IPO. The circle-jerk known as facebook sucks now.
It could go away now and it wouldn't affect us at all and we would not give a flying ratsass.

It's a useful tool for animal rescue groups to help spread the word about critters in need and for my rural group it helps us find other groups in larger metro areas that may be able to take some of our pound dogs because we just do not have enough foster homes.

Beyond that I have no use for it.

I'm 38 yrs old and I'm too Moderator cut: edit old for facebook and Moderator cut: edit facebook drama. Last thing I need is a crazy woman I once dated from my past popping up. Hearing dramas from family members is enough for me to puke just the thought of facebook.
