This is gonna sound kind of eccentric, but I've always had this thing where I saw bottles of wine with cool labels, like a fox or something funny like a horse in a top hat, or something like that. Something that intrigues me. I either buy it from the store or ask if I can keep someone's empty wine bottle to add to my weird collection.
Does anyone else do this or am I a frickin weirdo? (And no I don't waste the booze)
I collect bottles. It started a long time ago with those tiny Wheaton bottles. Now, I usually save bottles from different liquors-big ones and little ones. I don't drink tequila but my cousin-in-law had an empty bottle that I thought was cool and asked him for it. Since it was empty, he gave it to me. I think my favorite has to be from Black Cat wine that my step-son gave me (complete with wine). It is in the shape of a cat. It was good wine and I love the bottle.
The thing is, I'm running out of room to display them.

Cat
Yeah that would definitely be a problem. I'd love to make my own space of wine and liquor bottles on display.
I have a few various (empty), interesting looking booze bottles in a widow at our cottage. Just something else to collect dust, but interesting to look at just the same.
I have 30 old square glass milk bottles with no labels or caps, almost impossible to sell or get rid of, unfortunately they will probably end up in the recycling bin.

Bottles are interesting to collect but they take up a lot of space and are usually hard to get rid of.

Please don't put them in recycling. I use them and pick a couple up at Goodwill sometimes.
Others' do too..even if only for a vase, say, for a cottage at a Bed and Breakfast.
Or for the table at a continental breakfast at a B&B...at least give them to Goodwill one day?
Or the back door of an antique/collectables shop?

I knew a fellow that had a beer can collection. At first glance it was not very impressive but once you realized he had drunk each one then the variety of the collection became more impressive.
I save wine and liquor bottle that have pictures of pigs on the label.
