I'll reserve judgment on the new uniform style for now, but from what I saw on the various team websites, I'm not too thrilled about them either. What's the point of form fitting? Are we trying to become like the NFL? On Bettman (aka Buttman) I can't disagree with you there. To me he has bent too far in an effort to make as much money as possible for the sake of the quality and reputation of the game. Hopefully someday soon they'll get rid of his a** and get someone who actually cares about the game.

I'm not a fan of Bettman either but I think the new jerseys will be a good thing. I actually think the form fit looks quite good but apart from that the material is lighter, stretchier and wicks moisture away quicker. These can only be good things.

I tend to like the jerseys, I think they look good. The form fitting jersey is supposed to make it harder to come off during a fight too!

Actually, 95% of sweat generated while playing hockey ends up soaked into the pads and pants. There really isn't a lot of skin contact with the jersey.

You asked about a defunct team...How about the St. Louis Eagles' jersey from 1935 era? I like the Eagle. Of course AB brewers sponsored the team, hence the eagle motif. No, I never saw them play

Im glad someone else realizes this. I dont like the new jerseys, in fact Id wish theyd bring back the sweaters. Now THAT would be cool.

The marketing rule in the NHL over the last decade seems to have been "Change simply for the sake of change".

I guess that's what happens when the sport is run by money people who have no clue about the game itself.
