For only the second time in NHL history and not since 1970 are all the Canadian teams eliminated from the NHL playoffs. Plus, it's been over 20 years since a Canadian team has even won the Stanley Cup. Not to mention Patrick Kane will probably be the first US born scoring champion! Take that you maple syrup slurping, poutine eating, loonie spending, canuck hosers...eh?...go Hawks!
No Canadian teams in the playoffs but.....the 2 Florida teams, the 3 California teams, the Texas team, and the Tennessee team will be in the playoffs however.
If there's any consolation, Canada will go 1/1 in advancing Canadian teams into the NBA playoffs, and well on their way to going 1/1 again in advancing Canadian teams into the MLB playoffs.

That is pretty crazy that all 5 Florida/California teams will be in the playoffs, and they are all pretty dominate too.
They were consistent all year. I saw them play in LA and they beat the Kings that game. Nobody expected to them to be even a playoff team this year I think.
