Didn't the North Stars change their name to just the 'Stars' while still in Minnesota? And the owner claimed that there was nothing to the name change?

I'm not from Minnesota and I didn't like the guy.

Mathmatically, Minnesota has the most players with 202, but Michigan, mathmatically, has produced the highest points per player, so u decide quantity or quality

ESPN Magazine did a break down not too long ago. I think Michigan produced the most players out of the States. It was a neat graphic of a puck turned into a pie chart.

All state? You mean in the NHL, there is/are 1 player from each of these states?......There's only 1 from WA and you missed 1 from OR.

Who's your Oregonian? I do recall hearing of one not too long ago (I want to say a goalie?).

The tally is birthplace per NHL, which isn't necessarily the same as the state where they grew up and developed their craft. WA includes Oshie and Dwyer.

I wish nhl.com would allow you to sort by states and provinces, in addition to nationality.

I think this would be a fun tournament:

New York
Michigan
Minnesota
New England
East
West

It would make for some pretty sick teams, but maybe invite Canada to make it 16. Maybe something like...

BC
Alberta
Saskatchewan
Manitoba
Western Ontario
Greater Toronto
Eastern Ontario
Greater Montreal
Quebec
Maritimes
