I'm preparing to move into a loft-style condo. It is two stories with floor to ceiling, black windows. The first floor is blonde hardwood and the second floor is beige carpet. The owner is allowing me to select a few colors (Benjamin Moore) for the painter to use. The ceilings and trim are going to be re-painted white but I would like to add some color (2-3 colors max). The painter is only willing to paint one of the 'big' walls, at least one of the bathrooms and possibly the hallway. The big wall I'd like to paint is the one that doesn't include the staircase. This wall will have the TV on the first floor and the bed on the second floor. I plan to furnish the first floor with mostly black furniture and the second floor will have brown furniture. I do not have an eye for these things so any input would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!
Note: Please excuse the pictures. The current tenant is in the process of moving out.

Also, paint is your cheapest investment. What is the color/ texture, style in your fabrics; upholstry, rugs, bedding, linens, etc.? Your carpet or tile or counter, cabinets, appliances, etc.? You said you have black & brown (there are different blacks & browns)
You buy those first, then match the paint pallet to them, or in co-ordination with them.
