I'm not normally a fan of open kitchens but that box needed opening!

The same here but I like~ I might even remove that whole lower section all together put in a large island...

I like what you are doing with the kitchen. The cook will not feel isolated now. Will there be an eating bar? And is that new flooring? I like the looks of it.

Day 2 update... yeah there will be a bar. originally we were going to remove the wall completely and put a island, but then u will have to run new electricity under ground. so we decided to do an bar instead and keep the original outlets (that's why there is a colum).
