What light fixtures do you love? Any kind of light fixture is applicable (ie, pendants, chandeliers, ceiling mounted). For example, I would have bought this light fixture in a second if it didn't come in only brass and oil rubbed bronze!!!

You clearly don't think outside the box! If that was a fixture I just "HAD TO HAVE" and the color selections were not of my choosing- nothing a can of spray paint can't fix!!!- have done it countless times!
I even did it for a client once- she, like you saw only what was in front of her- I told her I "had connections"- what color do you want it in? Went to my favorite auto painter, gave him the color, and the fixture got a baked on finish in the color "that wasn't offered".
As to the question- I love and try to integrate lighting that isn't seen. The next best, is small unobtrusive recessed lighting.
Why spend 1k on a light fixture you have to spray paint? I've spray painted other things like mirrors and vases, but I won't spend that kind of money if I could potentially ruin it with a lousy paint job.
We just found this one for 75 percent off because the shade was damaged and the lamp was discontinued. We paid to have the shade professionally restored and still came in at less than half price! LOVE IT. It's going in the master bathroom.

Very nice!! Light fixtures are something you can definitely get bargains on, especially if its a floor model.
I have a thing for antique bridge lights. The fixtures themselves are fairly inexpensive since I buy them at auctions, but replacement shades can really get expensive if they don't have the original ones (if you want the girly shades with fringe, etc.) I also have a lot of antique slag glass and hand-painted glass table lamps. They all go with the antique furniture; anything new would look out of place.
I like georgian chandelier. Check out the collection: Lighting Fixtures | Interior Decor |Modern Floor Lamps.
