I have a love hate relationship with the color Blonde by SW. Love it in some areas and hate it in others. But I think it would look great with your art work. You could always try it on a board to get an idea before you commit. (Or just buy a sample and paint a patch somewhere.

Then maybe a green for the wall of cabinets? If you got the right green I think it would look great.

No matter what you will get a lot of ideas here and I am sure you will have fun with it!

On my computer the picture of your living room with the great windows the ceiling looks yellow. I think that would be a great color-nice medium yellow-not too bright though--something like Benjamin Moore's Fennel Seed.

its white in the pics...

thanks and also twinmma, thanks for the suggestion.

seems like a "light yellow" is the go, also around the cabinets as well?

Don't do yellow! With the black windows, it will look like a bumble bee or worse Pittsburgh Steeler colors. Even a light yellow would look like that.

I guarantee that you would never see yellow walls in an art gallary. Art galleries chose wall colors that won't distract from the artwork. (beige, grey, etc.)

I recommend a warm beige. It's often used in modern spaces (your condo and artwork is modern). Beige will also tie in nicely with your floor color.

Here is a beige room with modern windows that have black frames:

(although striped, it was the best picture I could find of black framed windows to give you an idea of how beige would look)

I think the right shade of grey would look very nice.

(Grey was one of my main two choices. I was going to show a grey option earlier, but I couldn't find any pictures with similar windows.)

I would paint the ceiling white or a very light shade of whatever you paint the walls.

Make sure you paint that entire air duct the same color as the ceiling. You don't want to draw attention to it.

If you decide to paint the ceiling a lighter shade of the wall color, you don't need to buy special paint. Just have some wall color mixed into standard ceiling paint.

I agree, a tan with a bit of yellow in it, or a warm gray, even a tan/gray with green undertone would really compliment your art, etc... Check these out- Ben Moore Powell Buff, Yorkshire Tan & Bennington Gray. All part of their historical collection, good luck! Great place.
