Some people (nobody here) seem to think the the foreign car companies are completely immune to the effects of economic downturns. No company is.

The difference is the foreign companies have more flexibility to save money in hard times. Honda can lay off workers without having to answer to a union. Whether you think that's wrong or right, it does benefit the company.

That and they have had great sales increases and were not already in trouble before the high gas prices hit.Its liike any business;it depends on if the company was already on the brink of bankrusy before the recession.
