Carrier Unit in a 1600 sq ft House built in 2003. Fort Worth TX

The outside fan, When running Heater, turns on and off in 5 second intervals, over and over again.
The unit does in fact blow hot air!

Although when running AC, the outside fan runs continuously. A+++

After turning breaker off, and removing outside Fuse,
I Checked the outside unit, removed the fan and fuse casing area.
In there, I was able to see (what I believe it to be) the fan relay switch.
When I turned breaker/Heater back on, I could see this switch triggering every 5 seconds as the unit was turning off and on. Which you could hold down to bypass it from turning off!

I do have a small freon leak, Had to recharge a few pounds last summer.

I know I should leave this for the professionals but my wife is 9 months pregnant and We don't have too much money to work with. I hope someone can give me some pointers.

Let me know if you need more info, And thank you for your time!

PS. this is my first thread so I do apologize if it isn't forum-al!

Even if the fan problem was the relay switch, where would you buy one? It's not like going to an auto patrs store to buy an oil filter and spark plugs or Home Depot to buy toilet flusher or light switches.
I think A/C repair guys get their parts from a secret area 51 kind of place.
I had a bad capacitor. Knew it was bad because it was double its normal size but didn't know where to buy one. Had to call A/C repair. Part was $25 but had to pay additional $79 service call. Took about 7 minutes to replace.

Yea, I've had to fork up some money before,.. Kind of why I was hoping it was something I could do myself.

I was told it could be Low Freon causing the fan to go On and Off, but I don't see why it wouldn't react the same way when I run the AC. I'll probably HAVE to get an HVAC man out to repair this leak that I have, and go from there.
Thanks for the input!
