They are actually a little different. My wife uses Windex multi-surface which would be the equivalent of the Lysol one you bought. She uses that for general cleaning, countertops, sinks, windows, etc. The purpose of those is to work as a disinfectant.

The Pledge one is really just a general cleaner/duster. It cleans things fine but it doesn't disinfect. My wife swears by the Pledge one to clean the wood tables, server, chairs and other surfaces as it is gentler and gives a better result.

If she needs to clean wood surfaces, she needs the Pledge as the other multi-surfaces really aren't designed to clean wood and may damage the finish.

Pledge multi-surface is the only thing that cleans dog drool off my windows and glass doors. They aren't really interchangeable.

Pledge Multi Surface shines stainless without streaks...don't think Lysol is the same.

Both are deadly and disastrous on wood. Both will destroy cherry in 1 year and oak or maple in 2 years. I have gone into great detail on this subject in the past so won't bother again. Don't do it! Don't listen to TV commercials. These products are very bad for wood. They are bad on your skin and full of chemicals you really should not get on you. Oh but the TV says it's ok so it must be.

Cabinet Magic - "Cleans away grease, grime and dust"

It's what I use now instead of Pledge, and not just on cabinets. Love this stuff. I have asthma and a lot of the cleaners make me wheeze. This doesn't. (Yippee!) Plus it cleans really, really well and leaves just enough of a shine. And it hasn't damaged anything I've used it on.

For "regular" dusting I use Endust Fee. Which makes me only a little wheezy.

Others that don't bother my asthma: Green Works natural glass and surface cleaner by Clorox and original Windex.

(Just a little info for anyone out there with asthma and/or allergies. As always, your results may differ. )

I'm going to try to remember this because I don't use the other products.
