I wasn't concerned about neighbors. I was concerned about family and guests being blinded while in the backyard for nighttime gatherings. As for security, flood lights are the worst for security because they create dark shadows and blinds spots.

Well if we use them for company or gatherings where I took that last pic from was the woodline and anything inside of that you don't get the direct blinding glare, especially on the deck and pool where we would congregate.

I enjoy soft lighting and tiki torches more but since there were already floodlamps there and I was tired of looking at old, yellowing, broken lamps I added these. Figured if I was going to do it why not just get something that will shed some good light.

Next season the low voltage wire is going to be run around the front and to the flagpol and I most likely will be adding something in the back around the pool. What would be really awesome is if I can get my gas line to run out there and feed some gas tiki torches
