If there is brown oily liquid little thinner than a syrup consistency then it's most likely the compressor burned out. Usually cost around $250-$500 for parts and labor. If your fridge is worth fixing at that price go for it.
Usually if there's a brown liquidy substance leaking out of the bottom front area of the refrigerator, that is Compressor oil and means your compressor blew up and needs to be replaced. That will be between $250-$500 parts and labor. If your refrigerator is worth that, go ahead and fix it. If it happens after work hours, ice or dry ice in the refrigerator will help keep things fresh until the technician can come out. Hope this helps ?
Switch off your freezer and leave it for 2 days and then wash it and again start it.
