Hi all,

I am new in here, live in Houston, really need some advice. I bought a house last year, the foundation was repair couple months before, the seller told me that the foundation warranty is up to 10 years and able to transfer. I got confirm by email from the foundation company the warranty has been transfer under my name.

After the heavy rain from this area. I found tiny paint/wood crack inside my house, crack getting longer and bigger after each rain. Call this company and success talked to someone told them my house is under warranty and schedule to take a look. But this people did not show on that day. After that I called this company approx 20-30 times in the past 10 days but no one answer and it go to the voice mail box. I left couples message also email them to call back or schedule another time. But this people seems refuse to response or call me back.

I heard this foundation repair is costly. I bought this house because the foundation is still under warranty.

Really don't know what should i do now. The crack getting bigger after each rain.

Please advice. thx

Do you know where they are located? You can go there and see if you can talk to someone in person.
It wont help much, but are there any BBB complaints against this company?

Seller probably got it done on the cheap with a crap company. Call Jericho Foundation and schedule them to come out and give you a free inspection. They are an honest company and very responsive. At least you’ll know if you have a problem with the foundation or not. Jericho gives lifetime warranty – 10 year warranty is crap in Houston.

If you’ve called the company 30 times with no response then I wouldn’t trust them to give you an honest answer as to whether their work was at fault.

txdemo is on the right track- you need an expert to assess the cracking relative to the foundation and any work performed. If you have to proceed legally, you may need more than one written assessment.
