Just to mention that..........
Here in Canada, we have a key return service, that is offered by The War Amps, a charity that was originally started just after WW1, to help military amputees.
It has evolved over the years into a national charity that provides artificial limbs to children and teenagers who were either born without a limb, or suffered a injury that resulted in a amputation.
Here is how it works. The War Amps are provided with the address of every licensed driver in Canada by the Provincial Governments each year. They send each driver a pair of key tags that have a code number on them. It is attached to the key ring, and if the keys are lost and found, the War Amps will pay for the postage to have them sent to their HQ near Toronto. They contact the key owner, and return them by pre paid courier delivery. The cost ? What ever you wish to donate. I send $40 a year, as I like the fact that War Amps does such great things for child amputees.
The War Amps are a great example of a service that meets a need, ( returning lost keys ) and also does wonderful support for those that need it. As far as I know, the key return service is unique to Canada.
