Anyway, that mount will eventually come down maybe a few inches, perhaps in three or four years. Just make sure to never drive a vehicle or something heavy like that over it. You want the dirt on top to stay as loose as possible. Too late now, but you can always rake the dirt to make it even and spread wild-flower seeds. Daisies grow like crazy around here.
Yea I'm just going to plant it with grass. Can't do much with it now because it's covered in snow!

Aw just found out why it is so different. They didn't just replace it, they re engineered it and put in a whole different type of system. Lifeisgood, yea my hill is much higher, though yours is pretty high.

That's not mine, it's a neighborhood house.

Where my farm was located, I had to put a new septic system in before selling it to my son.

( old type system was no longer approved..)

A mound system is quite costly so the only reason you see them is because an inground field couldn't past a perc test............soil has lots of clay

The last place I wanted it was front yard, but I had no choice.

If I moved it behind the house,I would have to move 3 rows of pine tree wind break that was already shoulder high. Plus, in northern climates the north , shaded , side is not a good idea.

Total cost.......lift pump, 2 tanks, etc..............$11,000
