Outward opening doors are not insecure. You're supposed to use hunge bolts which are metal bolts that protrude from the hinge edge of the door and insert into the frame as the door is closed. This means you can remove the door with the hinge pins when it's open but when it's closed and locked, removing the hinge pins will not allow the door to be removed as the bolts will be holding it strongly into the frame on the hinge side.
That said, I would not put a screen door on the inside as others have said. It just would look strange and like it doesn't belong. I think that most screen doors are designed to be fixed to the outside of a door frame so they would look funny mounted on the inside and opening inwards.
