Of course it had to happen to my favorite trousers. I shook a bottle of ink and got ink spots. Anyway to get them out or cover them up. Some kind of white out maybe that doesn't wash out?
Hairspray. Spray a lot on the spots and saturate them. Then soak and wash. Throwing some Oxyclean in the wash will help too. Not guaranteeing that this will work, but it's worked for me in the past.
Ammonia. Place the area to be treated over a glass bowl, or something non reactive and slowly pour ammonia, by the spoonful, over spot and let it drip into bowl. Use straight ammonia, it can discolor some fabrics so you may want to test in hidden area. Probably works best on cotton, don't know about synthetic. May take a few or more treatments doesn't always get it all out . I've used it on small spots on men's dress shirts. Tried it on a really large spot didn't work well, just made it bigger. Don't dry in dryer that may set ink. Rinse in water and drip dry and check spot and retreat. I've used a old toothbrush to scrub a little too.
I saw it on some show about treating stains and it's work the best of any suggestions so far for me for ink. But I have had to throw away some so it doesn't always work.
You can blot it with rubbing alcohol. Put a paper towel under the spot and press and soaked cotton ball into it. Make sure you keep moving the paper towel around....otherwise you will end up reabsorbing the ink from the back side.
I've done this successfully...but it does take a really long time. It works well if you got a small amount of ink. If you spilled a huge blotch of ink, there probably isn't enough rubbing alcohol in the world.
^ that, we used to use aqua net back in thew day...it did work on removing ink, for some odd reason
Yes, hairspray has worked for me.
