Side question anyone found a use for those wire hangers form the dry cleaners? Recycling does not take them, dry cleaners will not take them back and re-use them. It seems such a waste to throw 15-20 of them a month in the trash.

I'm surprised the cleaner doesn't take them back, the ones I know all do.

What about Goodwill or similar? They usually will take hangers to use in their stores.

Tried Salvation army. they did not want the flimsy wire hangers the cleaners use. They use sturdier hangers.

You could look to see if there is one of these events in your area

Just Between Friends

They are giant consignment sales and all the clothing has to be on hangers. At least in my area, it seems like people are usually looking for hangers when they prep for an event

Yes for the entire house. 4 closets. I did the purge of the plastic hangers and I’m simply amazed! Not only do our clothes stay o. The hangers but they hang neatly. Also the space gained by switching to these hangers is amazing. Who knew?

I had absolutely no idea that non-slip hangers existed. I have a zillion of the plastic ones and yes things slip off.

On the non-slip ones, can you put things with narrow straps or do you still need a notched hanger?

Also, are there any brands that are better than others? If I could it on Amazon I would prefer it but not necessary if some other brand is better.

The ones i bought which i purchased at Costco have a small notch or indent for tanks. They also have and additional piece on the top you can hang scarves from. I was pessimistic that this tiny notch would keep tanks on but it does.

If you happen to have a membership there they are currently $7.99 for a pack of 35!
