Just curious about this company. I was looking and ordered samples of their new pro vinyl plank flooring. Did get a little concerned when I saw they have a yelp page, their company home office is located in CA, with tons of good, but tons of bad reviews as well about their bamboo floors. There is also a class action lawsuit against them.
So, do you think any quality product would have a class action lawsuit against them? I'm looking in their vinyl so a whole different beast then bamboo. Anyone have floors from them?
The first rule in place here is that anyone who uses "Cali" in any form whatsoever except as the misspelling of the Hindu deity should be avoided by a wide margin. shudder
But I wouldn't put much weight either way on a Yelp page for this kind of business. Yelp is for restaurants and hair salons and is ill-suited to more general business review... and I can't tell if you mean the ratings are for a retail outlet, an installation company or for DIY/pro products. (In what I would consider descending degrees of applicability.)
I built a huge deck from Trex, and it was two years later that the brand went in the dumper because of a nationwide bad batch that started to crumble soon after installation. They've since recovered, but it cost the parent company and when I sold the house I was careful to note that the then 8-year-old deck was not from the problem period.
Products have bad episodes, and the tendency is for lawyers to materialize. A CA suit is not necessarily a reason to reject them
However, there are a lot of makers of every type of flooring, and AFAICT none have unique or even distinguishable differences at equivalent product levels.

The ratings were for the product itself, both that people ordered directly through the company to their own and the product that is sold in Lowes. The company seemed to blaim most of the issues with their bamboo flooring on the installers...

Eh. Yelp is definitely not the place.
What do Lowe's buyer reviews say? They'd be DIYing and have a different perspective. And look for magazine/blog writeups.

Look at the Better Business Bureau site. If they are that bad, people will take the time to report there, and the BBB will look into it. Yelp is too easy, serious complaints will go to more serious review/consumer help sites.
