I grew up in a turn of the century house that had its bathroom updated in the late 1920s. Subway tile, porcelain hex on the floor, those same porcelain water valve handles, similar looking pipes. Very cool.

Funny to me that some people see this as creepy or something out of a mental institution. I see it as art-deco era, state of the art bathroom design. Very "modern" in the early 20th century.

Uh. I worked in one. A shower like that is very much in keeping with one before sprayers on the end of rubber hoses were developed. Nothing creepy about it.

I would love a shower or bathroom like that if I had a century or older home along with a claw foot bathtub. The more original the better for me.

You dirty ape! (The scene is from POTA, IIRC)

No, it wasn't like that. I could demonstrate on you, if you want.

I think the house is kind of creepy in and of itself . It looks very isolated from other homes so that could be giving me the kind of creepy feeling and then whoa you see that shower ugh !!! added creep factor . I also want to say I think the house is over priced by looking at it .

If you look at the map, it's not isolated at all. It is on a bigger lot than some others, but not isolated.

I don't think it's overpriced by much, looking at other values in the area. You can't tell if a house is overpriced just by looking at pictures.

This shower was probably installed for someone who would not or could not wash themselves properly.

I remember reading somewhere that Priscilla Presley had a shower with multiple shower heads in strategic places installed because Elvis didn't wash thoroughly.
