Every time I buy a "white light" at the store, they're yellow.

Lol. Does anyone have any suggestions?

????????

What kind of bulbs? LEDs? CFLs? Incandescent? If they are LEDs, the bulbs are available in different color temperatures.

Maybe one day the makers will produce a SINGLE chart with all the data in one place.
So far it seems they work to NOT make it all clear.

A rather unnecessary and unhelpful comment.

OP, here is a good chart that shows you the different color temperatures (Kelvin).
Check that number on the box, before you buy it.

Another possiblity OP, is to use a smart bulb in the porch light.

Here is one that has great reviews, does not require a hub, and works outdoors. You can set the whiteness with the app, and BONUS you can set COLORS too, maybe at holidays and such.

Or, here is a dusk-to-dawn bulb, with pretty good reviews too. And this is cheap - I might grab these myself LOL.

I agree. You want a different color. Buy a different color.

Pretty easy to lookup a color chart. My box stores even have the charts with pictures on aisle with the light bulbs.

Been many years since we only had the choice of soft white or bug light bulbs

That's actually what we did, lol. We put a Hue bulb out there that came out of our old fan (new fan has built in fixed lighting). We'll see how long it lasts out there. If it blows I'll check your suggestion. Thanks!
