My Maytag seems to be stuck on its final spin. I'm noticing it on the Normal setting only. I lift the door a little since it's locked, the spin cycle then starts to slow then it stops. The washer door unlocks and the clothes have wrung out properly. What might be causing this? I don't feel like buying another Washer right now. So using other settings will they quickly act up now, since the normal setting has. Or could this issue actually be another problem, that forces the machine to keep spinning.

Have you tried resetting it?

They will have a button combo that can reset the control board which can solve this. I had it on an LG that my daughter was using non-HE detergent in and it apparently created the issue.

It’s usually some combination of power/start/cycle and then unplug and plug back in. Might be a RTFM thing.

What model?
Push button Electronic controls; or spin the dial, push-pull control?

I had this problem with the GE stackable unit in my kitchen (I have another full size set in the basement). It was driving me crazy - I could even turn off the breaker and as soon as I turned it on again the washer resumed spinning. Well, finally best Buy got a tech out to my house, and it turned out that when the unit was moved out and then back again, the discharge hose was pushed too far into the water discharge pipe. Apparently that triggers a continuous spin response. The tech pulled the hose put to the proper height; zip tied it to the other hoses; and put the unit back in place. I haven't had the continuous spinning problem since.

3 years old and 1 year it wasn't used because the house was unoccupied.

I'm glad yours was an easy fix. I will look at the hose on mine.

It's a push button start top load and dial setting control commercial washer.

Take a look in the manual or search for it online. Many of the newer (8 +/-) washers have computerized control boards with a bunch of automatic safeties to protect against mechanical failure and they can create other issues. There is normally a way to re-set the board to its original default setting.

Our washer was overloaded at one point and the spin cycle would just continually spin, never stopping. I re-set the washer and it has functioned properly ever since. This may or may not work in your case but worth looking into.

Seeing previous posts now and agree with the trying the power as a reset as well.
