One wall of my spare bedroom had these weird plastic sheets on it when I moved in. I ripped them down but the adhesive was left behind. Regular wallpaper remover is not working. I can't paint over the adhesive, it will show even if I use Kilz. The room had an ugly wallpaper border which I have removed leaving red paint underneath and light blue paint on the wall. I am prepping to move so I plan to paint it all Acceptable Gray.
My options seem to be:
to physically remove the adhesive by sanding
to physically remove the adhesive with something like Goo gone
to get some plain white wallpaper to put on that wall only to cover the adhesive.

Is the whole wall covered with the adhesive?
Is the wall otherwise painted?
I might try a few different products to find what would remove the adhesive. But, if the whole wall is covered- I’d most likely just cover it with a wallpaper. Especially since you’re moving anyway-
Dexter would have done a better job of cleaning up after himself......
Yep, he was very good at that!
