I got a really great deal on a new set of Cedar Adirondack chairs and a table but they are already painted yellow and I want to paint them white. They will sit on a covered porch year-round in Raleigh, NC. What type of paint should I use? All I know is to get outdoor paint.
Enamel or Latex? Spray-paint or roller? Do I need to sand it first?
Since they're new- and you don't know what type of paint it is, go with enamel. You can put enamel on top of enamel or latex, but you can't put latex on top of enamel.
Give them a light sanding with 240 grit paper and paint away- brush, roll, or spray.
K'ledgeBldr and Flamingo13: thanks for your suggestions!
