I understand that the expiration of the home buyer tax credit has put a crimp on sales in other parts of the country. How are sales volumes and prices reacting to this development in Houston?

May and June were down just a little - several people who would have bought then jumped to do it a little early to get the tax credit. July is back up. This was OK - April was so stressful that it needed to be a little quieter in the following weeks. It's back to business now.

I have noticed 2 out of 3 are new into town -it used to be 50/50.
