Hi everybody.

As I mentioned in previous posts, my family and I are relocating to Houston next month.

We have a house rented, but I have to say I'm a bit confused by the electric provider, Reliant Energy.

It seems they have a number of different plans to choose from and I just don't know which way to go. Here in Colorado you just call the electric company and sign up. It costs what it costs.....

So, what do you guys recommend? What are your experiences with this company?

Finally, if anybody could give me a guesstimate of what a monthly electric bill might look like on a 2600 sq. ft. house, I'd sure appreciate it!

Thanks!

You don't have to chose reliant and there are many others to choose from. Link below is a list of all companies that can easily be sorted.

Power to Choose

I would suggest a 12 month fixed rate plan so you don't get spikes in prices during the summer.
