I understand people who want that "inside the loop" lifestyle, and if you've got that kind of cash to spend and you like the area and the house "speaks" to you, then buy it.

There is no amount of wanting to live "inside the loop" that would make me pay that price for that house, when I could go elsewhere in town (nice areas) and get a mansion by comparison.

I think its cute and if it puts you close to work, awesome. Unlike Malvie, I put a high premium on being close to work and can understand why people are moving inside the loop again. The lack of garage would probably dissuade me, but I don't have any other objections. I don't know what that area is walkable to, but that's my other main consideration.

It's near Meyerland Plaza, close to Horn Academy and nice neighborhood parks. I really like the bathrooms, kitchen and the backyard. Yes, close to work in downtown.

I like the house very much! I hate the deck. It is overdone and obnoxious and pointless to have the bridge, 2-3 materials, all those different levels, ect.

Wish I could afford to live there!

But definitely the lack of garage is a big issue for me!

It isn't my taste, and I can only comment on how I relate to it. Your mileage may vary. For half a million, even inside the loop, I would want either a garage or space to conveniently add one. The house is void of any architectural presence or character, what it does posesse from a curb appeal standpoint is not attractive to say the least.

Many of the interior finishes are not that great, the kitchen is certainly weak aesthetically. Also the white or beige 12" tile is dated & cheap looking to me. All the recessed lighting and Pottery Barn-ish staging does not overcome no garage and a lame kitchen.

It is fine for someone that just has to be in Bellaire but basically has no interest or real standards in the good design department.

I fully appreciate the location, but the same conveniences could be had in other close in areas without some of the glaring (IMO) shortfalls of this particular property. Speaking for myself, I would rather take $500k range over to Meyerland, inner-loop Braeswood, maybe Timbergrove, (unless I was specifically looking for the Bellaire schools), and get something that wasn't a lame garage conversion architectural Frankenstien like this one. I'm sorry, I may be the naysayer here, but I am just not feelin' this one.
