I was thinking this might be a silly question in light of the cold temperatures but my allergies since arriving in Houston pop up at the weirdest times - most notably when it's windy (according to my husband).

My ears are clogged which is screwing up my equilibrium and I'm just generally feeling blah. I've felt like this before during spring time in Phoenix and my friends there all attributed it to allergies.

Just wondering if anyone else noticed a spike in their symptoms over the last few days. Thought I'd get an idea before even considering hauling myself off to my PCP who would just would tell me to take my allergy pills anyway.

Thanks!

Yes, I am completely miserable and I'm beginning to evaluate desperate measures...homeopathy, acupuncture, witch doctors, whatever it takes...I can't take most allergy medicines because they give me migraines.

Glad to know that I'm not the only one but I'm truly sorry you're feeling so miserable and that the usual suspects give you migraines. Hope you find a natural remedy to help alleviate your symptoms.

Oh yeah. Mine are always bad when the wind picks up. I'm not sure if it blows something in or just kicks up what's dormant here but I've had a lot of congestion and other lovely related allergy stuff.

Sorry you're feeling it. Take your allergy pills and if you don't, use a neti pot. It helps more than you'd think.

Not me..yet.

Plenty are sniffling around me though. I'm geling and spraying Lysol when they come near me. Mono is raging through this city.

Oh, great, that's all I need. I work around a lot of college students, too.

You only get Mono / Epstein-Barr / Herpes #4 once.

What's raging around town now are colds & flus. I've had some kind of cold or throat virus 3 times back to back over 2 months and it has finally stopped. What might seem like allergies may just drippy remnants from the cold. Generic Mucinex is cheap and effective. I'm not really sure what kind of pollens (if any) are out there right now.

I haven't been sick at all this season (knock on wood NOW!) so I'm guessing this is just allergies acting up based on the reports here.

My brother & I usually have the same allergy symptoms but he's down with pre-pneumonia so I can't tell anything from him.

Mono - glad that I'm not around tweens or teens much!

I am allergic to pollen and ragweeds so I am on Allergy Immunization plus medication. It seems to be working very well.
