I'm working downtown starting this summer, and I'm looking for a 2-bdrm apartment either on or a little north of Memorial (but with VERY easy access to it), preferably no further west than Detering/Westcott.

Here are the ones we've already looked at: Gables Memorial Hills, Memorial by Windsor, Left Bank River Oaks, and the Bel Air.

Does anyone have any other recommendations? Anything under $2500/month is fine, and safety's our biggest priority (since it'll be two girls in our early 20s). Thanks!

What about Archstone, The Core both near Washington/Waugh, AMLI City-View is South on Dallas but close, the Amli Town Square is across the street I recall. Lower Washington also has an apartment complex just west of Sawyer.

Not sure if Memorial by Windsor is the same as Windsor at Siena but that is another option. Off Studemont just north of Memorial
