?

It's college basketball talk the entire month of March. I say that because I listen to sports talk radio and watch ESPN daily. But not in the month of March. April is when it's over and goes back to pro sports.

Yeah, I know, but the first game of the Final Four isn't until April 2nd. The championship game two days later. You'll hear more college basketball in April.

the eyes of the sports world will be on Houston this week....the Shell Houston Open starts up on thursday, and is basically a tune up for the masters, which start on Apr 7......then of course, the big one, the final four with Butler vs VCU and Kentucky vs Uconn will get plenty of national attention...hopefully we will put our best foot foward and let everyone know we can handle major events...we deserve another super bowl too before any florida city gets one!!!!

The new format definitely helped with the interest in the tournament. The Final Four will be fine. The Butler-VCU game will have the lowest ratings though.
They may be brand name teams, but this year's versions of Kentucky and UConn are nowhere close in terms of talent to previous teams.
I would have liked to see at least one #1 seed in the Final Four.
I went to the Final Four 3 years ago in San Antonio, which had all 4 #1 seeds and the atmosphere there was great.
Hopefully, this year will be the same but I doubt it will.
I'll actually be rooting for VCU because I have a cousin that graduated from there and another cousin currently going there.

They didn't for the BCS bowl. According to NO BOWL BONANZA FOR UCONN: Football team's trip to Arizona brings prestige, but could cost school a bundle- The New Haven Register - Serving New Haven, Connecticut the lack of fans and expense proved to be true. Now the hoops team is far cheaper to transport, and MAYBE fans will come for the warmer weather.

Didn't realize VCU was a school w 32000 students, so they may bring some fans. When I saw the participants unfold I thought, interesting story lines but this is trash for Houston tourism. I assume Kentucky will travel, but the others...ugh. Seats will be available.

Oh well yeah but UCONN is a basketball school. They are actually new to this football thing. But in the last 15 years, they have won two national titles and been to 5 Final Four's, I believe. I think the fans traveled very well to San Antonio in 2004.

Wow, I can't believe they fit 32,000 students into that tiny building on the Southwest Freeway. Who knew they even had a team?
