I am looking for certified contractor to install island range hood. Since I bought the hood online, all of the store contractors (such as Lowes, home depot...etc) does not provide services without buying their own product.

Does anyone know where to find certified contractors? or where to post the ads. ( I didn't find where can I post in craiglist).

Type: Broan Rangemaster Elite Series 637004 40'' Provisa Island Chimney Hood with 900 CFM Internal Blower

Here are the expected problems:
(1) No electric hooked up yet.

(2) Bedroom upstair, the duct needs to be inside the ceiling;
(3) Probably there are some piping/tubing inside the ceiling above the kitchen range, needle camera will be needed to check.

If you are experienced island range hood contractor, please [Mod cut: no private info - contact per DM] Thank you very much

DH and I have redone more houses than I care to count, including knocking out the outside wall and adding square footage onto the house. We have redone 4 or 5 kitchens plus 3 total gutting and start from the studs. What you want done is way more trouble than it is worth. I strongly suspect you are gonna do this project your own self. That is how I learned to do a lot of things.

A ducted range hood should be installed by a licensed mechanical/HVAC contractor, with the necessary support of a drywaller/painter to repair any affected ceiling area. Call three or four of them to come to your house to assess the project, and give you a FREE quote for the work. You can get recommendations of suitable, qualified installers from your neighbors or even local businesses in your area.

I have been an estimator / project manager for a general contractor for more than 20 years.
