I'm moving to Houston in about a week and was wondering what I could expect for a water bill for a one bedroom apartment? Thanks!

$39 per month unless you are a woman that takes 20 minute showers every day.

I looked a bit more. One bedroom, no laundry, dude that takes 1,2,3 showers, then $27 per month.

We moved out of a larger complex and our bill hovered around 15$ and it was two of us with a w/d.

And yes, we bathed and did wash! I think it was the averaging out of the bill amongst the units that helped.

I have a 1br house with two people in it and our water bill is only $17. Has yet to break $20.

Thanks for the replies! I'll have an in-unit w/d (and my apartment is part of a larger complex), but it's just me and I don't run long showers, so I think I now have a rough idea of what I'll likely be paying.

Actually, it all depends on what area of town you live. Different areas are in different water district and have different water price rate. ie: My brother lives in Clear Lake and is paying 4-5 times more than where I live. Some apartments also include their lawn watering usage and devide the bill among the tenants as well.

It is best that you check with the apartment in the area you're planning to live.

Now that I think about it (and as this has turned into a how low can you go) some one-bedroom apartments water bill is $0 (included in the rent).

Just sayin'...
