I live in Cardiff Ranch, just a tad north of Cinco Ranch blvd and 1463. I noticed that there is a massive structure being built at that cross section, and looks to be a school? Also, a high school and church are planned to be built across the other side of Cinco Ranch blvd...anyone have any details on this? Where can I find the latest scheduled build out in my area?

Thanks !!

-dave

Hey Dave, yes the structure at Cinco Ranch Blvd. & 1463 will be an elementary school. It seems a church is to be built right across the street, but I did not know anything about a high school going in right there. Anyone else has any info, I would love to know as well! Especially what subdivision is building to the right of Cardiff Ranch, right as 1463 curves to the left.

Ok, so I heard today that there will be a high school built right there on 1463 by Cinco Ranch Blvd. However, I don't know if the bond has even been passed yet. I have heard of several school that are supposed to be built here or there, only to hear later on that they are not due to this or that. So I am at a point where I don't actually believe it until the structure is being built. The one of Cinco Blvd & 1463 totally took me by surprise. Though to be honest, I really don't care because all the schools around here are very, very good.

The high school that is being built right now with the passing of the 2010 bond was planned 7 years ago, to be built in 7 years...meaning it's right on time. It is not being built now, but it sounds like it being planned.

Dave and Rachel,
The new high school is being built by the entrance of Pine Mill and Silver Ranch on Spring Green Rd and Falcon Landing Rd, across from the Shell… That one has a sign for Woodcreek High School.
I was originally told that they were going to build an elementary school at 1463 & Cinco Ranch, but the sign inside of Pine Mill Ranch across from their pool still says proposed site for Elementary school, seems weird they would have two schools so close together.

That whole area around 1463 is exploding with new construction, and even inside of Cardiff is crazy, you can barely drive through the main road with so many homes under construction.

How is life in Cardiff? We are anxiously waiting for our new home. Move in date is April 2012. We haven’t had a lot of traffic in our current home, so we are pushing that date as far into the future as possible. We visit Cardiff several times a week and are closely following the construction of a home that is the same as ours, seeing what they added, what we like and what we don’t.

Can’t wait! If only our current house would sell!!!

The high school you are talking about, by the Shell, is 7 years in the making. From what I hear, there is another high school proposed to be built off of 1463, by where Cross Creek Ranch will end.

The elementary school at Cinco Ranch Blvd. & 1463 is a done deal, as it's being built. From what I was told, the proposed elementary in Pine Mill has been held off as Pine Mill Ranch has not had as much growth as projected, so the other elementary was moved ahead of it.

However, this is all what I heard, and every time I hear one thing...6 months later I hear something else. Again though, not too worried about it as all the schools are fantastic here!

Yes, building has been crazy in this neighborhood! However, the homes being built are beautiful!

Honeycombe - are you in Cardiff?

Davidrodd - I'm LOVING cardiff. Although there are only a few families here, quite a few residents are walking the available sidewalks and around the lake. Everyone has been keeping their yards and landscaping up (I'm jealous of a few of the yards...I'm having some grass issues) and builder lots are selling really damn good! Cardiff is really busy with plenty of hustle and bustle from builders and residents, and I'm loving it. It tells me that I made a good investment because buyers are seeing the incentives that this small yet well rounded community will offer.

If you are talking about the property to the north of Corbitt, between 1463 and Katy Flewellen and south of Crossover Rd, that will be Cinco NW. Cinco's developer, Newland formed a partnership with Japan's largest homebuilder - and last year they bought that land (almost 500 acres - 1200+ new homes).
