Since many decent threads in this forum get derailed by Houston bashers (mostly the same people over & over) can we have sticky for this purpose? A Bash Houston sticky.

Create a rule where each member is allowed to flame the city in one post per thread but beyond that, they can rant their hearts out in the Bash Houston sticky.

People trying to learn about Houston have to read threads that are interrupted by chronic bashers, they aren't getting a fair picture of the city.

Houston isn't perfect, but it's been pretty damm good to millions of people.

Thanks

There are pros and cons for every city. If someone does not like Houston then they don't have to live here.

I totally agree with you. If you don't like it then leave. Why on Earth would you just stay and gripe about a place you don't like?

It doesn't matter where they are.....they'll continue to lash out at others and make excuses, and never once contemplate the fact that they are the problem. It's easier to bemoan everybody else for the success and happiness that eludes them.

yeah that is true. Some people are just natural born whiners. They left the north because they could not handle the cold, now they say they can't handle the heat.

Yeah, there are way too many Houston bashers here. All negative, truthful, and accurate information needs to be hidden away somewhere where outsiders won't see it. We can't live with ourselves if we aren't high-fiving each other, playing along with fantasyland reality, and being "yes people".

By the way, there are many here who would love to move elsewhere, but it's not possible for them at the moment. It could be due to money, transportation, finishing up last minute business, etc. That doesn't mean they should give up informing others about Houston. The two are not related in any way.

Plus, there's an American liberty called "free speech". People are way too thin-skinned anyway, and get bothered and offended way too easily these days. People used to take it in stride, but these days, people act like little children at anything that doesn't perfectly line up with what they want to hear.
