Can somebody recommend a really good boarding place preferably near Katy, but it doesn't have to be. I currently board at Pet Paradise near IAH which is an hour drive. Recent boarding there has resulted in several disasters for my dogs and they are my family! I can google boarding myself, but if anyone has any recommendations on places they LOVE or any places to definitely not try, please let me know. Thank you!

I used Rover Oaks in Katy about a year ago for my dogs and felt great about leaving them there. It's a little on the expensive side, but worth it.

Houston Dog Ranch at Bunker Hill and Long Point. Amazing facility and people. Like Rover Oaks, it's not cheap, but if you have dogs that have thunder phobia, are cage biters or need more activity, it's the place to put them.

No issues really, just can't bear to leave them one more time knowing they will come back with something wrong! The first strange thing was one of the people when I checked out said something about them "enjoying the pool", but on the phone the person said they did not get in. I thought that was weird because it was a slow time, and I really didn't care either way, but which was it? Pool, or no pool? I felt like they just made something up to make me feel good! In the fall, we came back with kennel cough, again 3 months later on the next visit, then this last time one of them had their pads worn off, and the poor little feet were covered with poop and pee. I feel like they just sat in their own potty all weekend. Have you ever tried telling a lab to take it easy and rest her feet? LOL, it was not easy!

Thanks for the recommendations =)

Why not looking into a pet sitting service where someone comes to your home. They can do multiple visits a day or even stay overnight. Services include places like Barking Life Pet Concierge and others.

We've been pretty happy with Fondren 5 Star in Missouri City.

You can try searching for dog boarding (even in-home boarding) by professionals at [url=http://www.embarkly.com/Dog-Boarding/Texas/Houston?utm_source=cdf&utm_medium=forums&utm_campa ign=citydata[/url].

The site has pictures, prices, reviews, amenities, and all the info you need to decide. Then you can contact the facilities or make a reservation. Fast and easy!

Good luck!
