Do you have any facts to back this statement up?

Los Angeles is clearly the most diversified city in the United States.

On a side note, Diversity is waaaaay over-rated. No one cared about diversity until 9.11. When will we ever be considered diverse enough? And when we finally are diverse enough, what will happen; will we see a paradigm shift back to ethnocentrism?

In truth, diversity works best on small scales (regionally). When you promote global diversity, in essence imposing diversity on people, you create a sort of ‘culture shock’ that further risks alienation among populaces. Especially considering the extreme differences global populaces have in common (Culture, Food, Religion) compared to local, more regional populaces.

Diversity has to be organic, not promoted or imposed.

Talk about having a chip on your shoulder.

To me, diversity means freedom (real diversity, not "racial diversity")
Freedom to be whoever you want to be, to speak whatever language you want to speak, to believe on whatever religion/God you want to believe in, to dress however you want to dress....
and not having people yelling hateful things while you enjoy your freedom.

If that is the case then what does 'freedom' mean to you? LoL!

Diversity is clearly defined - and accepted - as the condition of having or being composed of differing elements or qualities.

Try not to get the two confused.

On a side note, Freedom is guaranteed here in America. You can do whatever you want within the confines of the law. If someone doesn't accept you socially because of your religion, culture, or sexual preference then that's fine. They have that right. They just cannot discriminate against you. They can judge and distanciate from you but they cannot discriminate against you.

The US is one of the less free countries in the world. There are so many laws and restrictions here it is crazy. You are basically free to work and come home. Remember this country was based on Puritanical beliefs.

Wow...looking for the Country you are talking about. We all know there are laws that discriminate against people in the United States.....it is even worse here in Texas. As a person who is NOT equally protected under the law...I beg you to come out from the rock you are under or stop watching FOX news.

A truly diverse city is racially, socially, culturally, religiously and economically diverse...it makes for a healthy city.

Are you serious? I don't think so. NYC, LA, Toronto, Chicago I would think.
