Anyone have any suggestions of places along I-10, closer to 610 than Highway 6, that have nice quiet bars, good food etc.? Doesn't have to be fancy or expensive, just quiet and a little romantic maybe.

Straits Bar in City Centre (IH-10 and BW-8), very laid back, romantic, but not sure if it is expensive or not... it might be.

I would agree that the Goode Co. Seafood at I-10 close to Gessner is a very good restaurant but not really romantic...however I went on my first date 9 years at this location and today we are still together!
The food is outstanding with very good service plus it is a good place for a date.

I really love the Mason Jar. It has a full bar, cute little tables and good food/wait staff. It's a Houston tradition and I always have had good luck with dates there.
