Hello, Im from a small town in Louisiana. I have family that lives in Houston, Ive been there a couple of times. Im thinking about moving there to get a fresh start, only problem is I will be a single mom of three. Family locally doesnt recommend Houston because they claim it has a very high crime rate and dont think it would be the best place to raise three kids alone. Economy wise are there a good amount of well paying jobs in the telecommunications and retail enviroment?? I would like to get on my feet and into my own place asap, but I dont want to be in a very bad, ghetto, dangerous neighborhood. Im also not used to living in an apartment, where Im located we mostly rent/buy single level homes.
Any positive advice, tips, comments would be greatly appreciated..
