What happen if I accidentlly entered the westpark tollway without the ez tag? Should I call the tollway to let them know or should I just wait for the bill? It was just an accident when I was heading home from work and I thought I exited the westpark exit, but then I realized that it was westpark tollway. So I couldn't have a chance to pay for the tollway nor exit at that time. Please help... Much appreciated!

I would just wait for the bill. I have made the same mistake and nothing came about it. Didn't even get a bill.

Don't wait for bill. They add an extra $30 fee if you do. Just call them in a couple of days and you can pay by phone or mail them a check.

You have 2 "free" violations before they will send out a collection notice. We got a couple letters on our vehicles when the account was not recharged, and that is what they told us.

I would wait a few days and then call with the date, time, plate # and see about paying for it over the phone or by check. That is what they say to do on their website. www.hctra.org Or you can stop by one of the EZTag stores and pay it.

Try to call them just to make sure. I did the exact same thing. Luckily one informative poster gave me some advice. I think you should do the same and called them and explained the situation.

Definitely call them. Much cheaper than waiting to see if they bill you. If you call and tell them what you did, they will just have you pay the toll. If you don't call and they bill you, they charge you extra for adminstrative fees, etc and your $1.50 toll (or whatever it is) will be come $30+

They won't bill you for doing it once. I made the mistake of not bringing enough change to make it from I-10 to 249 and had to go through the EZ tag on the exit and I was never billed.

It's just too easy to make the call and pay the toll rather than wait to see if you get a bill in the mail with an extra fee added to it. You generally have to wait at least 3 business days for your car to show in there system. So don't waist your time calling them today.

Waist, like someone has a skinny waist?

As the others have said don't worry about it. I've been through the Sam Houston tollway about 20 times without an ez tag and they send the bill out after the 3rd time you go through it without an ez tag.

So do you pay the $30 administrative charge every time you get the bill? That would be much more expensive than just getting a tag. Or do you get them to waive it? I was told they would only waive it once and my account would be noted for the future.
