Is houston a booming city still? Where to live that is nice, safe and excellent schools? I been reading that the woodlands is nice, but can we afford it? One good income of 65 a year...and able to spend up to 150 for a home, is this doable???Thanks!

Yes, there are plenty of engineering jobs available here still with all the major companies. You can make 65k out of college with ~3 years experience. Though it strongly helps to know someone in the business. Getting your foot in the door can be difficult at times. We are competitive on an international level.

To stay safe on the home, you can estimate your home principal, interest, taxes, insurances and HOA fees will run on average about 1% of your home purchase price (good credit, 10% down). So a $150k house will run about $1,500/mo. Is this doable???
