My company gives us BCBS Access Blue Basic Deductible. They also pay 100% of the premium, nothing comes outta my check.
Co-pays are 25 bucks, for basic PCP visits, but there is a 2000 deductible for overnight hospitalization and so on.

I just found out today though, that our plan has not been renewed (this happened this past week) by my employer and all 7 of us have no health insurance as of today.
I also heard that we are negotiating with BCBS, and not sure what this means, and the implications of any future mandated health care laws come into place, just hopeful my employer keeps paying the premium 100%.. I know that's rare today, and it's a perk, just wanna retain that perk..

Since I started paying for my health insurance in 2005, my premiums have gone up on average 10%/yr. For myself and a young child (3 yo in '05) it started out at $200/mo. Now, 7 years later it is $360/mo. Those premiums are for very basic, high-deductible coverage. I can't recall the ins. company ever paying a claim.

Wow, my health insurance went up by almost 20% this coming year. I have no idea if this has anything to do with the healthcare reform, but what ever reason, this is terrible. I'm shopping around and it seems a few plans are going up on Oct. 1st. Come Oct 1st, my premium would have doubled in the past 6 yrs and I haven't even been sick once.

Maybe these posters post in the Houston thread because they see their city and don't know better? Not everyone knows the correct sub forums to post in.

Well, if we are going to talk this forum, why do any of you care? Because it seems to me, pretty much all of you make 200,000 dollars a year or more, have beautiful wives and all drive Maseratis.

False,
the more young people you have in insurace, the higher their profits.
Because senior citizens will always be the ones that cost more money.

Mandatory euthanasia at age 65 would solve our health care cost issues.
