That's got to be out in the boonies. Considering part of the Houston metro?
Royal is not far from Katy. Near Fulshear too.

Default Katy is the best School district overall

The best School district in the Houston area is Katy ISD. This is in terms of the entire school district not individual schools or a portion of a district.

Katy is good, also but it's a bit too groupthinky for most outsiders.

Please explain "groupthinky for most outsiders"?

It isn't really known as a progressive area.

Lamar CISD should be in the top 5 in my opinion.

You got FBISD right. They may even be lower than that.

Katy seems much more consistent, but there are schools in Spring Branch more desirable. Same goes for Fort Bend.

Why in the world would someone look at district rather than schools? There is too much variability among the schools in most districts.

As far as the LCISD comment, first I've heard on that... I bet the people in RiverPark wish that were true and their home values and desirability were up with Avalon or New Territory (FBISD.)

HISD has the best schools in the entire metro but most suburban districts will provide a good education. If you want excellence you need to go private or get into one of the top magnets in HISD.

That's because in the burbs, perception often masks reality.

Ask ten random teachers which district is better and I would bet 8 of 10 would say Lamar.

With that said, you are correct in the first place. Better to look at schools, especially in the Houston area.
