Not good, hopefully we don't end up losing as many trees as last year.

With all the droughts.... I really would like to see how much water golf courses use.
And I know, you are gonna say that that's recycle water, well, we use recycled water from Dallas.

Here's an article about this
Quote:
Water-Thirsty Golf Courses Need to Go Green

There are now approximately 16,000 courses in the United States — about half the total in all the world — and if you laid them out together, they would be as large as Delaware. And that Delaware of golf courses uses water, lots of it. They call them "greens" for a reason, don't they?

Audubon International estimates that the average American course uses 312,000 gallons per day. In a place like Palm Springs, where 57 golf courses challenge the desert, each course eats up a million gallons a day. That is, each course each day in Palm Springs consumes as much water as an American family of four uses in four years.

Just checked out the forecast. 50% chance of rain both Tuesday and Wednesday. Maybe we'll get a good soaker from it.

Am starting to light candles for tropical disturbances this summer (note I am specifying nothing bigger than a disturbance). One of the things I love about Houston is driving either on I-10 or 610 or on Memorial and seeing all the beautiful pines (skyline in background). After losing over 1/2 in 2011 my stomach just twists thinking we might lose more this year.

It is so sad to see how much we lost. The pictures are really hard to look at.
