im not losing anything, but most people get so offended and are trying to deny everything.
I never said there isnt any poverty in other cities, so wtf are you on about? As i said before about 5 times by now I asked WHY there is so much bad poverty in a city that is apparently "booming" and is so cheap, but i guess this is to hard to understand for most people on here

It's the gutters and the siding, isn't it?

Property values in Houston are crazy low. There is just not the tax income for local government to pour gutters and footpaths and underground stormwater drainage. Then the weather is really hard on siding and exterior woodwork. If it costs $5,000 to have your $50,000 house painted every five years, would you do it? To re-side might be $10-20,000. And remember the roof needs replacing every 15 years.

Here are some poverty stats for ya California Poverty Rate Highest In Nation Based On New Census Department Figures

Also play with this link but do it correctly. http://quickfacts.census.gov/qfd/index.html Meaning if you are going to compare poverty between cities...you must pick cities with similar population sizes.

So let's pick the 4 largest cities and look at Persons below poverty level, percent, 2007-2011 Do you notice that poverty is not unique to Houston?

NY 19.4%

Chicago 21.4%

LA 20.2%

Houston 21.5%
