As all my friends who moved out to the suburbs from the city say. We will come in all the time to visit you all. Then they move there and come in the city about twice a year. Driving for fun is a lot different than having to drive for work. You must drive to work. You don't have to drive to Houston to fun. All my suburb friends became home bodies. They rarely leave their house. When they do it is to home depot.

Yes, if you spend your week commuting into town the last thing you want to do on your days off is drive anywhere.

Yeah, once I moved away from some people who I socialized with out of convenience and found people I really enjoyed hanging out with, I used that "Oh, that's a long drive, and we need to get up early to get to Home Depot for gardening supplies" line as well.

Pedro I have always been curious. Are you Mexican or white trash? You always come off as white trailer trash to me.

Wow, a bit sensitive are we? It was just a joke, as indicated by the smiley face.

If you took it as a personal insult, that was not my intention, and I apologize.

Edit: BTW, in regards to Mexican or white trash, I was at the Mo Education Center off of Aldine Bender today for the 10:00 am citizenship swearing-in ceremony for a friend, if that gives you a clue one way or another.

I am a border-line old fart in TW, and we drive into Houston on the weekends several times a month. May run into slow-downs around the 610 or 249 merges (typically going north), but generally smooth sailing. My 24 year old daughter (lives in own apartment) splits going-out time between in-town and the Waterway area.
