I remember that time also. My pipes froze for a long time.

Eh, I remember the 80 s and early 90 s being this way. My parents say this winter was more the norm in the 70s. So just going back to a cold cycle.

Remember, Galveston Bay has frozen over before...so let's hope we aren't going back to the Little Ice Age.

We actually had our first record lowest High since the 1970's, so it's definitely been cold

SciGuy sums it up well.

Quote:
February is off to a cold start, with an average temperature about 7 degrees below normal.

In fact the whole of winter has been cold. What’s been notable about this winter has not been the extremes — the lowest the temperature has gotten has been 21 degrees, far from a record low– but rather the consistent cold since the end of October.

Neither November, December nor January was cold enough to end as one of the 10 coldest months, respectively, on record for the city of Houston. However, according to the National Weather Service, the period of Nov. 1 through Jan. 30 is the eighth coldest such period on record in Houston.

The Farmers Almanac predicted we would have a very cold winter, even though the idiot media tried to mock them. I guess they can't have people going agasint the narrative that the earth is "warming".

The Farmers’ Almanac outrageous forecast: a frigid, snowy winter and stormy Super Bowl
