Dumb question - are there any companies in houston that do any kind of windshield protectant? Is there even such a product? I'm guessing this comes from the big trucks on the freeways. I never see or hear anything hit the windshield but I notice that when I use a freeway route that has a lot of trucks and vehicles are moving at faster speeds that I wind up with these little pits all over my windshield that you don't even see until you are facing the sun and you see all those little pinpoint prisms interfering with clear visibility. When I took 45 to work there was not a windshield issue. Now I'm on bw8 and I saw all the pits yesterday after only a couple of months on that route. The same thing happened on a previous vehicle when I traveled daily on i10 and 610. What is it that is damaging my windshield on our freeways?

Clearplex has a windshield protectant that is trusted and used by NASA, but it's DIY.
