I went to one on the south side it was a Uraguay place with very good steak under $15.

Perhaps a step up from Outback, there are the Saltgrass and Texas Land & Cattle Steakhouse restaurants near the REI at Willowbrook.

Consider also a place like Carrabba's Italian Grill, there is one in the shopping center right there by the Container Store. It's not an official steakhouse but there are grilled options on the menu, and it might just give you the ambiance you seek at a more affordable price point.

There used to be a Del Friscos there, but it's been gone for a number of years.
There is always Steamboat House over off of Beltway 8 by the race track -
Steamboat House It's probably a 10 minute drive from the Champions area assuming no major traffic issues.
